Israel takes out Ibrahim Aqil, leader of the Radwan forces, in Dahiya.
This probably puts Haifa on Nasrallah's target now. I'm sleeping in clothes tonight and not pajamas.
Just a brief report on the latest war news from the north. Will be updated over the next day or so. And corrected, if necessary.
UPDATE 21 September 0700: I will let this “X” post give the apparent process of the operation
One can consider this operation a success in that it killed about 36 terrorists and injured over 2900. But one can also consider this a failed operation in that there were 4000 units to be distributed so perhaps the expected deaths were 4000. However, some of the injuries were very serious, including total or partial blinding and brain injuries. The death count may go up in the coming days and weeks.
Not all had yet been distributed and some had been distributed but not yet turned on.
We now have the following picture: The operation had been planned over 15 years. ABC News reports:
Planning for the attack involved shell companies, with multiple layers of Israeli intelligence officers and their assets fronting a legitimate company that produced the pagers, the source confirmed to ABC News, with at least some of those doing the work unaware of who they were actually working for.
The Atlantic Council suggests that Hezbollah may be temporarily parallyzed because of losing important figures within the administrative and military branches and a large number of fighters in a two-day pinpointed attack and because they will find it hard to trust anyone given the apparent intelligence leaks within the organization. This brilliant excalation of the war may serve to de-escalate it, in fact, as Hezbollah has been hard hit on the one hand, and they may reconsider whether or not they want to continue to poke the Israeli bear that has come out of hibernation.
Original Post
Israel took out Nasrallah's second in command and 7 other bigwigs. Seems they had a meeting in Dahiya (Beirut) and went to meet their maker together. Over 60 people were injured, among them children.
Ibrahim Aqil, head of the Radwan elite force, had a $7 million bounty on his head. Wonder who the lucky winner is.
Here is a poster for Nasrallah’s next victory speech, added for your enjoyment.
So far today, Hezbollah fired off about 200 rockets/missiles into Israel. One minor injury. Many fires started. Power outages in Tzfat due to damage to infrastructure.
Now Haifa may be on Hezbollah's target. Missiles to Beirut = missiles to Haifa.
Take care girl. Thanks for all of your posts. Shabbat Shalom
That makes the second reward that Israel is eligible for from the United states, can't wait for that ceremony to go down where instead of America telling Israel to de-escalate they congratulate them on doing what admirable brave courageous innovative scrupulous Nations do without scolding haranguing stipulating and double standarding
